The Oystr is the new Marbl
PhonesThe Virgin Mobile / Kyocera Oystr had many issues and some of those issues were addressed when it got a new faceplate and was re-branded as the Marbl (aka the Shadowmouse). The shadow mouse had an upgraded battery and... and... well, the battery was about it with the exception of the new case. The screen still has the same screen issues. Both the oystr and marbl are plagued with a bad connection on the screen that causes it to go black. The connection can be jarred loose by something as simple as closing the screen and is one of the most common issues with both phones.
Honestly, all Kyocera phones have these issues. They are cheap pieces of plastic and are out of date the day they are released.
So if your looking to upgrade or replace your Oystr with a Marbl, all you will really be doing is getting a new faceplate. The battery still sucks, the phone still sucks.
