Power Cycle (reset) your Virgin Mobile / Boost Mobile phone

Sometimes Virgin Mobile phones and Boost Mobile phones just wont work right. Maybe you can't send a text message, you cant get any service or your screen just isn't showing any bars. There's a lot of issues you could be having with your phone. There's something about cheap phones and resetting them. Scroll below for instructions on how to reset your cell phone.

If you've ever called boost mobile or virgin mobile, you've probably been told to reboot your phone. This is because it cures 90% of the problems you may be having with your cellular phone. If this doesn't fix your cell phone, you may want to try reprogramming it.

To reset your mobile phone, do the following:

  • Remove your battery from the phone while it is turned on
  • With the battery out, hold the power key for 15 seconds
  • Let go of the power key and reinsert your battery
  • Power the phone back up normally

I was told by one of the supervisors of Virgin Mobile that that Virgin Mobile has decided that when a Virgin Mobile user makes a phone call, on the caller ID of the receiver's end, it will only show "Wireless Call" and not the name of the caller. This has caused me a lot of inconvenience. Sometimes, the receiver would not pick up the phone when they do not see the name, thinking it might be a tele-market call.

I sure hope Virginia Mobile would fix that problem.

question: on my boost mobile i415 phone I cannot call out or recieve phone calls but I can use the radio, how can i fix this. I have talked to Boost and they cannot figure it out. It has something to do with the sim card because I have tried my sim in another phone and stillt he same problem. HELP?
