Trouble sending picture messages

If you have a Virgin Mobile or Boost mobile phone and have been having trouble sending picture messages, it's probably not your phone.

The really smart folks at Virgin Mobile still haven't figured out how to get picture messages to send picture messages to other networks. So, to send a picture message with Boost Mobile or Virgin Mobile, you need to send to someone who is also a Virgin Mobile or Boost Mobile customer. You honestly will have issues even trying to send to Sprint customers, and they are on the same network!

Virgin Mobile is saying that they will have this fixed within the next year, so until then, there really isn't anything you can do to get your picture messages to send.

Get a phone number for your phone

If you have a virgin mobile phone and are wondering how you get a phone number for it, it's actually really simple.

Unlike track phones (tracphone), virgin mobile phones do not come with a cell phone number. To get a mobile number, you need to go to the virgin mobile website and click "activate". Then you just follow the simple instructions and you'll get your 10 digit cellular number.

You could also do it by calling virgin mobile, but that is more of a hassle. Remember to write down your vkey, ESN #, secret question and answer, and your MSID

So you have a popular mobile cell phone provider that markets itself to drug dealers and virgins. Your phone is named after a shellfish from the ocean and it really sucks. Maybe you have a phone that you bought 8 years ago to use with this provider.

And you really wany to get a new phone for cheap....

Well, starting this month, this company will be including chargers in their "Replacement Phones". Replacement phones are offered to customers who call in to report their phone lost or stolen.

For example, the most expensive phone offered is $100 and is really the only phone worth purchasing. If you call in and say your phone is lost or stolen, you can get that phone for $45 shipped to your door overnight. Although you will just get a phone and charger and no booklets, it's a lot cheaper.

If you don't need a $100 phone, just a phone your clients can call you on to score a dime bag, then you could get one of the $20 or $10 phones for $10 or $5 respectively.

The catch is you need an existing phone and account, but you can open an account and then call back in 15 minutes later and report the phone as being stolen and get the reduced price. So for a $5 phone off ebay you can get the top of the line phone for $45.
